It's been a long time I didn't published something new on the english section of my personal site. Last week I accepted the blame and today I will address to all the people who loves to reach a triple scope in one shot: combining their practical skills with ideea of saving money and offering, at the same time, an oblation to the Mighty Automobile God, "with their own hands".
Today I will talk about changing air filters on personal car. The cars have, more recently, two air filters. One is the (classic, main) air filter, which assures a clean air for carburation. The other is the cabin filter, which filters the outside air pumped by air-conditioning system inside the cabin, to passengers. Sometimes the car manufacturers reffers on it as "pollen filter".
Here below you can find information about how to find good-quality cabin filters for your car and how to mount it yourself. Depending on car model, this operation takes no more than 20 minutes. You can do it anywhere: in a parking, in the backyard or even on the street, there is no need for a service shop
The fact
Usually you buy and mount original filters to maintenance your car at authorized Service Shops, affiliated to your manufacturer’s service chain. You do that because the producer learn you to use ”original spare parts“
Do you know the truth about air filters ?
People passioned by cars (or those working in automobile branch) knows that many good-quality filters are produced by a company named Mann-Hummel.
Mann-Hummel is the leading producer for filter paper and use it to produce oil filters, fuel-filters and cabin filters.
Mann-Hummel is an official supplier for many automotive brands originating in Europe: BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Renault, Peugeot, etc….
